FAQ
Stitching, edges and sharpening
The questions from people making their first belt or wallet.
Ordering and delivery
What does delivery cost and how long does it take?
Free on orders of ₹1,499 and above, otherwise a flat ₹59 anywhere in India. We pack within 1 business day in Gurugram and transit runs 2-7 business days — 2-4 days to a metro, 4-7 days further out. Door to door, plan for 3–8 business days.
How can I pay?
UPI in advance, or Cash on Delivery. Cards are not accepted — no credit card payments, no debit card payments, and no PayPal.
How do I track my order?
A tracking link is emailed and texted to you on the day of dispatch. Courier scans can lag a day, especially over a weekend.
Returns and problems
Can I return something I have changed my mind about?
Yes, within 10 days of delivery, provided it is unused and still in its original packaging with the invoice. Full conditions are on the Refund and Returns Policy page.
What if it arrives broken or does not work?
Film the unboxing, then tell us within 48 hours. We replace it or refund it in full and we pay the return shipping. To be clear about what that is: a replacement route for an item that arrived damaged or dead, not a six-month or manufacturer warranty, and we do not claim to offer one.
Working leather at home
Which stitching chisel spacing should I buy?
3 mm for wallets and small goods, 4 mm for belts and bag straps, 5 mm for heavy work. Finer spacing looks refined but takes far longer and weakens thin leather if you crowd the holes.
How do I keep the tools from rusting?
Wipe them dry after every session and keep a lightly oiled cloth in the tool roll. Indian humidity will find any bare steel left damp overnight — this is the single most common way a good tool is lost.
Do I need to sharpen a new tool?
Most edged tools benefit from a strop before first use even when they arrive sharp. Where a tool needs a proper grind out of the box, the listing says so rather than leaving you to find out.
What leather should a beginner start with?
Veg-tan of 2–3 mm for small goods. It cuts cleanly, takes tooling and forgives mistakes. Chrome-tan and anything thin and stretchy is much harder to learn on.
